# COPS UI , how to use the site!
Features available:
1. Try Me: used to display permissions and test health of basic api call 
2. View, Edit and Add Rules
3. View, Edit and Add Groups
4. Use Hide Button to hide any visible Table
5. All backend data for this page is stored in aws dynamo db database.                         

## Permissions:
1. In order to access this portal, you have to request access via [Identity Now]("https://koch.identitynow.com/")
2. Under "Request Center", choose KMT_APP_PORTFOLIO_DEV and select "Request"
3. Choose either "COPS_ADMIN" for admin access or "COP_USER" for Read Only access.
4. Request will be approved by the app owner, ("Nancy.Miller")
5. For advanced changes to IdentityNow Applications, Groups Add/Remove, Owner Add/Remove, consult the site: [IdentityNow Intake Compass Ticket]("https://kochprod.service-now.com/compass?id=sc_cat_item_guide&table=sc_cat_item&sys_id=970ad3ca87cfd95017c784c7cebb3545")

## Add Group Button:
### Fields:
- group_id: allows only [a-zA-Z0-9] and "-"
- group_info: comma separated list of email that are set for each group. Microsoft Teams Channel Emails are also supported
- group_description: Description of the group
- group_category: Category of the group

#Rules
## Get Rules Button:
- This will disable all the Event Rules that are currently stored in the database.
- Clicking on any row allows editing the Rule and saving changes.
- Search box allows searching by any column values.
- Sorting can be done on any column
- Click "Clear Form" in order to insert a new group to the aws dynamo database.
- Clicking "Save Changes" will save the changes to dynamodb table.

## Add Rule Button:
### Fields:
- event_id[Required]: allows only [a-zA-Z0-9] and "._-"
- account_id[Required]: AWS account Id from where events will be received. Must be 12-digits long!
- dispatch_account_owner: Enabling will deliver to the Product Team owning the account
- dispatch_plateng: Enabling will deliver notification to the Platform Engineering Team Distribution List
- dispatch_platops: Enabling will deliver notification to the Platform Operation Team Mailbox
- dispatch_snow: Enabling will deliver Service Now and create an incident. This is currently in testing phase.
- metric: Is the event of type Event? Metrics are usually used in Custom Dasboard to dispatch stats,charts about processes, services and resources.
- skip: If selected, the event will not be delivered anywhere.
- dispatch_groups: A list of product team group. When Selected, events will be delivered to emails registered for each team.
- runbook: When a new rule is inserted, its required to provide a runbook that helps with troubleshooting an event.
- dispatch_override: If required, enter here a comma separated list of emails to deliver event to. If used it will bypass all the above conditions
